Name the people whom the President appoints.

 * The President appoints the Prime Minister and           other ministers in the Central Cabinet.

 * He/ She also appoints Ambassadors, Judges and        Governors of states.

 *  He/ She also appoints members of the Union               Public Service Commission ( UPSC) and other             official bodies that function at the national level.

  List the powers that the President holds.

* The President is the head of the country.

 * The President appoints the Prime Minister.

 * The President also appoints Ambassadors, Judges and Governers of the States.

 * The President holds the executive, Legislative, Judicial, financial and emergency powers.

 * The President is the supreme Commander of the Defence Forces of India.

English Story :Gulliver In Lilliput

 Gulliver was a great sea lover. He lived in England with his wife and children. Although he was a physician, yet his love for the sea often led him to long sea voyages In the year 1712, during one such voyage, his ship named " The Antelope " was wrecked being caught in a violent storm. Gulliver , not seeing any fellow sailor around, had no choice but to move alone where the destiny would take him. Floating day and night on a broken piece  of the wrecked ship, he reached a lonely island. Exhausted with constant labour, he fell fast asleep.
