2nd Grade : READING SKILLS : SUN , STARS , MOON

 Hello Children !

 Let us write a few lines on the sun , stars and

 moon.

 *   The sun is the nearest star to the eaeth.

 *   The moon is the earth's natural satellite.

 *   The sun rises in the east.

 *   The sun sets in the west.

 *   The sun gives us light.

 *   It also gives us heat.

 *   The night sky is lit with stars .

 *   The stars appear small and shine bright.

 *   The moon has no light of its own.

 *   It reflects the light of the sun .

 *   The moon has no air and water on its 

      surface .

English Story :Gulliver In Lilliput

 Gulliver was a great sea lover. He lived in England with his wife and children. Although he was a physician, yet his love for the sea often led him to long sea voyages In the year 1712, during one such voyage, his ship named " The Antelope " was wrecked being caught in a violent storm. Gulliver , not seeing any fellow sailor around, had no choice but to move alone where the destiny would take him. Floating day and night on a broken piece  of the wrecked ship, he reached a lonely island. Exhausted with constant labour, he fell fast asleep. When Gulliver came out of his slumber, he was feeling quite hungry. To fetch himself with something to eat, he tried to get up but he couldn't. 'Oh Good!
